Inspiration comes from all places. Movies. Music. Books. Conversations. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to step away from work and just do something. It was a lazy Sunday, but I wanted to make the most of it. I wasn’t going to waste the day. I needed to get out of the house…badly. I needed some inspiration that wasn’t a trip to the local mall. The wife and I decided to visit the Kubrick Exhibit at LACMA. It’s probably not necessary for me to discuss Kubrick’s influence on film, TV and popular culture, but his filmmaking, story-telling and cinematography was inventive as it was influential. Although I’ve seen his films, it’s refreshing to see the creative process as it develops. I certainly felt like picking up a camera after walking through the exhibit.
